sometimes his sense of humor is annoying. ordinarily it doesn't piss me off, but this morning i was doing without pain pills and wearing clothes with a waistband, so was in no mood to be tolerant of having jokes made about shingles.
for the record he aplogized after he got back from lunch. makes me wonder if he reads this blog -- i have not specifically told him where it is, nor have i specifically hid it from anyone, so whether he reads the thing or not is anyone's guess.
whether or not he reads the thing, i don't censor my venting. this is my place, and i don't vent without an absolute necessity. in this case, if i didn't get that out of my system, it would have been bad for my health, which is as we know not the best right now. right now the blog is stress release, and it's so good for that.

Because it will come in handy when you decide to complain to the labor board. That shit is not in compliance with CA labor law, and when you are good and sick of it you can slap him silly without laying a hand on him. ("Get the employer to comply; ask me how!" is the button I used to wear on my office manager vest.)
In the meantime, send me a photo and I'll send you back a dartboard for your office door. ;)

yes, it's very important to vent about him [and anything else that pisses you off] because the added stress of holding it in won't help your immune system at all. i'm glad jessica knows how to slap him silly, too! wish i could do it for you.

i did tell him that right off. he looked that up too and informed me i was probably only contagious last week. i was kind of hoping to get sent home to work, but people are pretty casual about something like this, they can't see.
so if anybody gets this is definitely on them. i tried to tell 'em.

Could I drop by and jokingly hit him on the head with a hammer? Would he notice if you randomly touched his hand? Every 2-3 hours? After putting your hand on your back/the shingles area first? That would be a good joke too.

he just has a really defective sense of humor. i don't think he can help it. usually i don't get so pissed, but in this case i was oversensitized by the insensitivity of dr. quack on friday, and then lulled into a false sense of sensitivity by all my friends on the 'net, who were so nice.
and it was monday. so i blew a gasket.

and at least i can outright bitch right at him. i mean, scathing tone of voice, strong language, the works. i don't have to walk on eggshells, in fact, it's best i don't do that at all. subtlety is lost on him.
i'm glad i'm employed. i'm glad i'm employed. i need to say that a few more times, because i really am. it's just -- i really could do without someone making lameass jokes about something that hurts.
